Acts and Resolves Chapter 2 Session of May 1749 

An order confirming a plat of 700 acres of land to Elias Van Shaack

A plat of seven hundred acres of land laid out by Oliver Partridge Esqr surveyor and chainman on oath lying between Ashuelot Equivalent and land granted to Capt. Seth Dwight near the east branch of the Hoosatannuck River, in part satisfaction of a grant made by the General Courts Committee to Elias Van Shaack 1000 acres having heretofore laid out and confirmed by the General Court as an equivalent of his right and interest in the Indian Town on the Housatannuck River now called Stockbridge, of the other 300 acres.

Read and Ordered that the within plat be accepted and the land therein be delineated and described be and hereby is to the within named Elias Van Shaack, his heirs and assigns forever in full satisfaction for the grant of 1000 acres. Provided the plat exceeds not the quantity of 700 acres and does not interfere with any other grant. Passed June 6, 1749.
