On Sunday October 10th at Hinsdale's Birthday Party Celebration, Butch Marshall representing the selectmen and town of Hinsdale, awarded Carole Forward with the symbolic 'Key to the City'.

This recognition award is for her unprecedented efforts to give the town a Dayz celebration that will not soon be forgotten.

As Chair of the Hinsdale Dayz Committee, Carole worked for two years to bring the community together for a successful and unforgettable 2004. As a member of the committee, I believe I can speak for all of us in saying that her pleasant and cheerful personality made it a pleasure to be part of her committee.

Most people would, at this point, be looking to end this huge project. Not Carole.

Carole is planning to take the Dayz Committee into a group that will continue to organize and produce annual events that will keep the community spirit alive on an annual basis.
